Privacy Policy

Rampritual writes about Rampritual. This policy explains the data side of visiting rampritual.com in plain terms.
Holding Periods and Security
Data lifespans are tied to purpose — analytics on the provider’s expiry schedule, email addresses until you leave the list, comments until they are taken down. Protection is by way of restricted access and encrypted transport, applied proportionately. No online service can be perfectly secure.
Who Else Is Involved
The parties that may receive data are our hosting provider, any analytics service in use, the email platform behind the newsletter, and advertising networks where advertising is served. Advertising and analytics vendors generally act as independent controllers; the rest act as processors on our instruction.
Cookies in Brief
- How cookies are used here, and how to turn them off, is set out in the Cookie Policy.
-
Where advertising is served, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Grounds for Use
Purposes: operating rampritual.com; measuring which of our guides, comparisons and reference pages draw readers; sending the newsletter to subscribers; and supporting advertising where it is displayed.
Age of Readers
The content and the site are for adults. Children under 13, or under 16 depending on jurisdiction, are not the intended audience, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Discovering that we had would prompt deletion.
What We Collect
Visiting rampritual.com may generate ordinary technical information — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages opened. Anything you type in yourself, such as an email address for the newsletter or a name against a comment, is collected only because you chose to provide it.
There is one niche-specific commitment behind this policy — we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.
Newsletter Handling
Nobody joins the list without confirming from their own inbox. Once on it, you can leave via the unsubscribe link in any email, and we include our postal address in every send as the law requires. The list is not sold or shared.
Control You Have
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, ask us to delete it, ask for a portable copy, or object to how it is used. You can also opt out of any sale or sharing of your data for advertising purposes. These rights arise under the GDPR (UK and EU) and under CCPA/CPRA and other US state privacy laws. We recognise Global Privacy Control. See also Do Not Sell or Share and the State Privacy Notice.
